to change, I sometimes miss the Sangre de Cristos,
the cowboys, and the black bear. I also miss the
genuine sincerity and integrity of most of the
people. I miss the openness and baby blue skies
and fresh air (when the wind isn't blowing).
I miss the cold, yes cold summer nights (in
the mountains).
What I don't miss - I do not miss the wind, the
lack of moisture, the dust blowing everywhere. I
don't miss the lack of vegitation. I do not miss
the general attitude of the majority of the people.
I do not miss the difficulty in growing a garden
or the higher cost of living and taxes and of doing
business. And I don't care if I ever see another
cactus again! Or a yucca plant, rattlesnake
and mountain lion.
